Abby Walczak

Abby Walczak is the Operations Lead at the NYC Civic Engagement Commission, where she manages procurement processes, public meetings, and operational strategy to support the agency's programming. A Brooklyn resident, Abby is committed to strengthening civic participation and improving access to government services for New Yorkers. Prior to joining the CEC, Abby served as Assistant Director of Boards and Commissions at the NYC Mayor's Office of Appointments, where she advised the Mayor on more than 200 boards and commissions under his purview. Before that, she was a Community Coordinator in the NYC Department of Education's Office of Student Enrollment, supporting families in accessing Pre-K for All, 3-K for All, and other early childhood education programs.

Abby has also held roles in political campaigns, nonprofits, and political fundraising organizations. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College and a B.A. in Political Science from Stonehill College.
