Media Advisory: New York City Charter Revision Commission Expected To Decide On 2018 Ballot Questions

NEW YORK - After extensive public outreach and engagement with New Yorkers in all five boroughs, the 2018 New York City Charter Revision Commission will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, September 4th, 2018 at 6PM to discuss ballot questions, that, if adopted by the Commission, will be put before the voters in the November 2018 general election. The meeting will be held at the New York Historical Society at 170 Central Park West, New York, NY 10024 (Robert H. Smith Auditorium).

Commission Chair Cesar A. Perales will be available for media interviews after the meeting.

What if I need assistance to participate in the meeting? This location is accessible to individuals using wheelchairs or other mobility devices. Induction loop systems, ASL interpreters, and Spanish interpreters will be available. In addition, with advance notice, members of the public may request other language interpreters. Please make language interpretation requests or additional accessibility requests by 5PM no later than Thursday, August 30, 2018 by emailing the Commission at requests@charter.nyc.gov or calling 212-386-5350.
