On January 9, 2025, the NYC Commission on Human Rights held our Second Annual NYC Human Rights Summit. The gathering brought together policymakers, advocates, legal service providers, and community members from across sectors to address the challenges and opportunities in preventing and responding to discrimination in our city.
This summit was not just an event; it was a call to action. In an era marked by uncertainty and rapid change, the importance of safeguarding civil rights cannot be overstated. Threats to equity, dignity, and justice require a unified response from all New Yorkers. Through events like the NYC Human Rights Summit, we can come together to identify strategies to uphold the principles of fairness and inclusion that define New York City.
Through speakers, interactive panels, and collaborative workshops, the Summit helped chart a course to protect and advance the rights of every New Yorker. Let’s keep it going and stand together to ensure that New York City remains a beacon of equality and opportunity for all!
