Good afternoon Bronx Community Board 5 Members and Stakeholders,

Due to necessary electrical work, the offices of Bronx Community Board 5 will be closed today at 4.30PM and all day tomorrow, October 17, 2025.  We will be open on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 9:00AM.

October 22, 2025 at 5:00PM. The October Bronx Community Board 5 Public Hearing on the Fiscal Year 2027 budget will start at 5:00PM. The General Board meeting will start at 6:00PM. The meetings will be held at PS 279, which is located at 2100 Walton Avenue. Bronx, NY.

October 27, 2025 at 5:45PM.  The education committee will meet on October 27, 2025 at 5:45PM.  This will be held at Harmony Hub, located at 2001 A Creston Avenue.  Bronx, NY.

October 28, 2025 at 4:00PM. The Parks and Recreation Committee will be meeting on October 28, 2025 at 4:00Pm. The meeting will be held at the Bronx Works Senior Center. 80 East 181st Street.  Bronx, NY. 

November 7, 2025 at 1:30PM. The Health and Human Services Committee will be meeting on November 7, 2025 at 1.30PM. The meeting will be held at the Bronx Works Senior Center. 80 East 181st Street. Bronx, NY.

Dear Neighbor:

As residents of the Community Board 5 area we are committed to continue to strenghten our neighborhoods. We believe that a stronger community is more likely to be a safe, happy place for its residents, businesses, and families to live and grow in. Community Board 5 and surrounding areas offer valuable resources which include great shopping districts such as Fordham Road, Burnside Avenue, University Avenue, Tremont Avenue, Jerome Avenue, and Grand Concourse. Also, there is a great variety of organizations in our area that offer invaluable services to our community.

Community Board 5 is always looking for ways to serve you better and will continue to work to improve the quality of life in the district. However, as a stakeholder in your Community your civic pride and participation is important. Therefore, please attend our General Board meetings and inform us about your needs and concerns. Community Board 5 meetings are held every fourth Wednesday of each month* beginning in September through June. You can also participate in the board's committees.
