Born and raised in the Bronx, Malcom Gray has dedicated himself to the betterment of those around him and his community throughout his life.

At Bronx Community College (BCC), he studied political science while serving as a student government senator, advocating for lower tuition prices within the "tuition freeze movement" and overseeing the implementation of curriculum procedures and practices, which benefited the needs of all students. Malcom believed that an agenda which encouraged inclusion and diversity was the best path forward for BCC.

At the University of Buffalo, from which he graduated in 2018, Malcom served first as historian and later as president of the Black Student Union, dedicating himself toward its mission of academic success and community engagement, working to forge relationships with local leaders to ensure students of color had avenues for their voices to be heard.

Malcom obtained his real estate license and has worked as a real estate agent since 2018. He has worked primarily with low income Bronxites, as he believes that the sustainability of any community must come from the bottom up. Building communities, fostering neighborhood relationships and opening doors for the disadvantaged serves Malcom's passion and goals for the future.

He was appointed to Community Board 11 in 2021 by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.
