Yes. In January 2015, the Board approved a new rule requiring DOC house Young Adults in Young Adult-only housing however, the Board has granted variances since then which have allowed for limited co-housing of adults and young adults. Subsequently, DOC’s efforts to house Young Adults in housing units with other Young Adults peaked in the second half of 2016, with an average of 77% of Young Adults housed in Young Adult only units. This percentage decreased to a low of 32% in September 2018 then increased to 68% in June 2019.
