Construction Safety Week 2012

This year's Construction Safety Week kicks off on April 23 with the 2012 Build Safe│Live Safe Conference at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. Department engineers, architects and construction experts will highlight new safety measures, analyze trends and outline a vision for future construction operations in the City. Seating is limited, and reservations are required. Professionals can earn continuing education credits.

Energy Code Training

A limited number of seats are still available for the upcoming 2011 NYC Energy Conservation Code training at The Cooper Union. This two-day course on April 5 and April 12 is the most comprehensive NYCECC educational program available. Professionals will earn 13 LU/PDH (HSW/SD) hours.

New Buildings Bulletins

2012-004 addresses prefabricated parallel chord wood trusses.  

2012-003 clarifies "predominantly built-up area" bulk regulations for existing residential buildings.  

2012-002 sets standards for fuel-gas compressors, duct burners and heat recovery steam generators in cogeneration and combined heat and power (CHP) projects.

2012-001 outlines criteria for buffers, interlocks, elevator entrances, wedge shackles, elevator governors and elevator brakes.
