Bronx Summer Fest on the Boulevard

Louis Niñe Boulevard between Southern Boulevard and Jennings Street

This June, WHEDco brings the community three Saturdays of activities with a focus on the arts, health, and the environment. On June 7th the Bronx Music Heritage Center presents Bronx Gospel Fest! featuring groups from all over the Bronx. Come pick your favorite group and show your support for soul-stirring Gospel! On June 14th enjoy demos, mural painting, special performances, arts and crafts, and games. On June 21st the Bronx Music Heritage Center as part of Make Music NY presents a Bronx Living Legend concert honoring hip hop founding father, DJ Kool Herc. Then dance the night away as Kool Herc himself takes over the turntables and gives us a Jamaican Jam dance party.

Bronx Summer Walks on Burnside Avenue

Bronx Summer Walks will run from Jerome Avenue to Davidson Avenue along Burnside Avenue. In conjunction with health care providers and health – based resources, we will have a variety of activities promoting healthy lifestyles as well as live entertainment for local residents. These events will also feature healthy cooking demonstrations

Boogie on the Boulevard

This is a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Bronx County. The Bronx Museum of the Arts is collaborating with Transportation Alternatives and many arts, culture and health organizations to bring art, music and healthy activities to the Grand Concourse for people of all ages. Participants will be invited to bring their own bikes, roller skates, chairs or any other amenities. Enjoy a stroll on the Grand Concourse while participating in outdoor programs.

Pelham Bay Merchants Association Weekend Walk

Buhre Avenue between Crosby and Jarvis Avenues

Join us for a fun filled family Weekend Walks! There will be a rock climbing wall, Karate and dance classes hosted by local merchants. Visitors will also be able to access information about Breast Cancer, Child Safety and there will be Back to School gift packs! Everyone will be able to find something they will enjoy in their own community, Pelham Bay.

Kingston Avenue Festival

The Kingston Avenue Festival is an annual block party to celebrate our neighborhood. The festival promises to be a day of excitement, featuring live music, dance, and spoken word performances, arts activities, a balloon artist, resource tables, an anti-violence art display, facepainting, and much more! It will be a great event for children, teens and adults. The Festival is a partnership of the Crown Heights Community Mediation Center, and the New York City Department of Transportation.

Williamsburg Walks

Bedford Avenue between Metropolitan Avenue and North 12th Street

Williamsburg Walks returns on June 12 from 1 – 6 PM. Taking inspiration from some of the most awesome pedestrian plazas around the world, each year Williamsburg Walks frees Bedford Ave. from car traffic to host art, music, food, and more. Spanning from Metropolitan Avenue to McCarren Park, enjoy pop-up parks, improvised art, live music, and expanded cafe seating. Entire blocks will be dedicated to art, activism and biking. Williamsburg Walks is a rain or shine event.

It's Friday night in the middle of summer and you don't feel like dealing with the crazy Jersey Shore or Hamptons traffic. Summer Stroll in Bay Ridge is the place to be! Join us for some family-friendly fun over 4 nights in July and August as we close the main neighborhood strip to traffic and open up the streets like the Piazza San Marco. July 18 & 25 from 69th to 80th Street and August 8 & 15 from 80th to 90th Street. 6 – 10 PM. Be there!

The Park Slope Fifth Avenue BID will host two sets of Weekend Walks events. On July 18th and 25th, the Avenue will be closed from 12th – 18th Street for food, music and fun in the sun. On the 25th, drop by for a live production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, right in the middle of the Avenue, between 17th and 18th streets at 7:30 pm.

Hamilton Heights-Sugar Hill 4th Annual Cultural Festival

The 4th Annual Hamilton Heights - Sugar Hill Cultural Festival. Two consecutive Saturdays in June celebrating the diverse culture and arts organizations of West Harlem with music, dance, outdoor health and fitness sessions, a Kiddie's Corner featuring interactive games, face painting, and art sessions. Highlights include: Doggie Fashion Show, Kids' Swap Shop, Arts & Crafts, pony rides, neighborhood walking tour of the historic district, and a line-up of talented musicians.

LIC Walks

Vernon Boulevard between 50th and 46th Avenue

The Long Island City Partnership will host the first-ever LIC Springs! block party – complete with free performances, art displays, family-friendly activities, and culinary tastes of the neighborhood.
LIC Springs! is a free, afternoon-long festive block party on Vernon Boulevard, from 50th Avenue to 46th Avenue. The event will shut down Vernon Boulevard to vehicular traffic, and run from 1 to 6 PM, with performances on nearly every block – including a main stage. The event will be held rain or shine.
The event coincides with the wildly popular LIC Arts Open festival and the weekend’s LIC Flea outdoor market – creating a day of activities throughout Long Island City.
