NYC PO Joel Figueroa Receives 2022 NYS State Director's Award for Outstanding Service by a Probation Officer

New York City Probation Officer Joel Figueroa was recently awarded the 2022 NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services/Office of Probation and Correctional Alternatives State Director's Award for Outstanding Service by a Probation Officer. The award recognizes a probation officer's exceptional service, dedication, and professionalism within their department and community in New York State.

PO Figueroa lives the mission of helping transform relationships, improve social and emotional capacity, and elevate the employability of every young person under his care. His role has afforded him unique opportunities to collaborate with community partners in the support of the young people he supervises. PO Figueroa has translated the interests of his young people into opportunities to develop hands-on skills in support of their entrepreneurship goals.
