The City of New York and ideas42, a non-profit behavioral design lab, have released results showing that the New York Behavioral Design Team (BDT) is improving processes and outcomes in higher education, access to SNAP benefits, and other government services. The project, managed by the Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity and the Mayor’s Office of Operations, brings together some of the most innovative thinkers in city government and experts in behavioral science and evidence-based governance. The Laura and John Arnold Foundation has announced that it is funding BDT for an additional two years so it can continue with this work.
