East New York
- The Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation used state planning funds to design an affordable residential building with a supermarket downstairs. It then purchased the land and had it rezoned. The project will open in 2017.

- Ellen Baxter and Mary Ann Villari of Broadway Housing Communities receive a Green Property plaque that marks the successful cleanup of land now occupied by the Sugar Hill Project, with 124 affordable apartments, a pre-school and a children’s museum.
