Domestic Violence Prevention OfficersDomestic Violence Prevention Officers, or DVOs, are available in each Precinct and Police Service Area to assist any survivor of Domestic Violence or any person involved in a Domestic Incident. Their assistance includes, but is not limited to report taking, obtaining an order of protection through Family Court, safety planning and referrals to essential services. Domestic Violence Officers can help provide referrals to the Family Justice Center, legal advice, social services assistance, emergency housing transfers, crisis intervention and counseling support. |
