“Made in NY” Series Feel ‘Younger’

April 15, 2015 - New and returning “Made in NY” series, like Younger and Daredeveil, premiere in the spring.

Younger on TV Land stars Broadway vet Sutton Foster as a 40-year-old woman who tries to pass herself off as 26 in order to land a job. New episodes air 10pm.

The fifth season of Louie airs Thursdays at 10:30pm on FX. The show’s creator and star Louis C.K. won an Emmy Award last year for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.

Nurse Jackie returns for its seventh and final season. Jackie, played by Emmy Award-winning Edie Falco, has to deal with the consequences of her addiction and the revocation of her nursing license. New episodes air Sundays at 9pm.

Inside Amy Schumer premieres its third season on Tuesday, April 21 at 10:30pm on Comedy Central. This season Amy is joined by a plethora of guest stars throughout ten episodes of envelope-pushing comedy.

On Happyish, Steve Coogan plays as a man who, while dealing with a new boss and a feeling he’s getting too old for his company, realizes he might have to settle for something that’s less than complete happiness. The series premieres on Sunday, April 26 at 9:30pm on Showtime.

Netflix has also premiered two new shows with very different sensibilities. Daredevil, based on the Marvel comics, features a lawyer, blinded in childhood, who seeks to right wrongs in Hell’s Kitchen as the masked hero. The series stars Charlie Cox. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt follows the adventures of a young woman who, after escaping from a cult, decides to start her life over in New York City. Both series are available to stream on Netflix.
