Workforce Reports

The Fiscal Year 2023 New York City Government Workforce Profile Report draws on employee-level personnel data from fiscal years 2014 through 2023. It provides a broad look at the employees of 72 City agencies, including agencies that report to the Mayor, such as the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), the Department of Education (DOE), NYC Health and Hospitals (NYC H+H), as well as elective bodies including the City Council, the offices of the Public Advocate and the Public Administrators, District Attorneys, and the Borough Presidents of each borough. Also included are several boards and commissions, such as the Civil Service Commission, Equal Employment Practices Commission, and the Board of Correction.
