Our Programs

The NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate Policy and Programs (CPP) oversees OneNYC 2050, New York City’s Green New Deal to confront our climate crisis, achieve equity, and strengthen our democracy. This includes a comprehensive strategy to secure our city’s future against the challenges of today and tomorrow as we build a strong and fair city that works for all New Yorkers.

On behalf of City Hall and the de Blasio Administration and under the leadership of Daniel Zarrilli, CPP develops and delivers world-leading climate policy initiatives for New York City, with a core focus on three strategic priorities:

  • Strategic Planning: Leading citywide planning efforts such as OneNYC and the Environmental Justice plan to deliver on climate policy goals and outcomes

  • Strategic Communications: Advocating for the administration’s bold climate initiatives – from divestment to clean energy – and telling the story of NYC’s global climate leadership

  • Strategic Partnerships: Managing key relationships with cities, networks, and stakeholders to scale up NYC’s climate action and build momentum regionally, nationally, and globally

By leading citywide strategic planning efforts, building strategic climate partnerships, and advancing communications, our office works to implement the bold actions laid out in OneNYC 2050 to secure a sustainable future for all New Yorkers.
