What are Community Boards?

District Managers Message

My mission as District Manager is to act as the voice and advocate for the residents of the district. To ensure the proper delivery of government services & resources to the constituents in the areas we serve of Mott Haven, Melrose and Port Morris.

The community board is an official municipal body of the City of New York that meets with the City agencies to discuss the district needs and the resources required to enhance the social and economic welfare of the district.

We want to help the residents strengthen our neighborhoods for them to be a safe and healthy environment for families to live and grow. The community board is a way for you to be involved in your local community government. We encourage you to participate.

I welcome residents and business owners in the community to call the board office for assistance with City agencies and to answer any questions.
