Design Preparation

Before the logo design process can begin, the designer needs some basic background information. Please have answers to the following prepared:

1. Who is your organization and what does it do? (please summarize in a single sentence)

2. Does your organization have an official slogan or tagline?

3. Please list 3 adjectives (in order of relevance) that describe your organization (the overall feeling the logo must visually convey)

4. Please list ALL media formats that will incorporate the final logo (e.g., business card, letterhead, presentations, websites, flyers, t-shirts, ID cards, etc.)

5. Are there specific colors that must be incorporated into the logo design? (please provide both CMYK and web Hexidecimal color values)

6. What is the final text to be incorporated into the logo design (e.g., the entire organization name or acronym, etc.)?

7. Are there specific symbols or graphics that may be relevant to include in the logo design?

8. Please provide examples of effective logos and explain why you find them successful (with regards to simplicity, style, shape, color use, etc.) .
