A Message From Commissioner Rafael Espinal |
Dear MOME Community,
I am honored to serve as Commissioner of NYC Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment in this new era under Mayor Mamdani and Deputy Mayor for Economic Justice Julie Su. This agency - established as the first municipal film office sixty years ago – will continue its mission to support the creative industries including film and television production as well as theatre, digital games, music, advertising and publishing, with an eye to putting NYC’s workforce front and center. We will double down on creating opportunities and good paying jobs for New Yorkers within the creative fields, while looking to make the city's arts and entertainment more affordable and accessible for all. |
