All In NYC X Census

In early March, New York City was the epicenter of a global pandemic. At a time when the city faced what seemed to be an insurmountable challenge, we saw New York City at its very best. Local businesses innovating and stepping up to produce critical PPE; frontline workers caring for patients, serving food, and keeping our transit system operating; and New Yorkers doing their part to combat this often-deadly disease.

And because of these extraordinary efforts and the resilience of this city, we have made it through the immediate health crisis, moving from pandemic epicenter to the national standard of how to respond and reopen. Now, we are on the road to recovery, but questions remain:

Can New York City ever recover? Will business return and invest in our communities?

The answer is a resounding “yes.” But we need your help. We need to fill out the 2020 Census now to ensure our city gets the funding and representation it deserves.

NYC has faced its fair share of challenges in the past and it’s important to remember that this isn’t the first time our city has been counted out—from the 1970s fiscal crisis to 9/11 and Hurricane Sandy.

With each crisis, the city came back stronger and more united than before. If history has taught us anything, it is that you can’t count out New York City. And now is no different.

Now we need to be #AllInNYC. Here’s how:

  • Take the census immediately at my2020census.gov
  • Share the below graphics using the hashtag #GetCountedNYC and #AllInNYC
  • Share your story about why you love NYC and why filling out the census matters to you using #AllInNYC and tag @nycgo and @nycedc
  • Volunteer to get your community counted: nyc.gov/GOTC
  • If you own a business, set aside 15 minutes for your staff to complete the census

Please share your posts on social media on using the hashtag #GetCountedNYC and #AllInNYC!
