Dávila-Richards: So, instead of pressing the link that you get on a text, make sure that you go to the website of what they're apparently sending you to go through so that you can be really sure that that's the true thing.

 Commissioner Mayuga: So, for example, Mr. Mayor, we're talking about how we can have, we want people to come to our Centers for Financial Empowerment so that they can get the help they need, confidential, in the language that they receive, all private and really identify not just how to help them financially but also prevent any scams.

Mayor Adams: And it's important, also, for younger adults to give direction to their parents, our older New Yorkers, because they're not savvy with some of these scams. And so what our younger adults know they need to share with their parents. That's what I do with my mom all the time.

Hosts: Tú sabes que aquí también tenemos que ir preguntando lo que la gente nos va diciendo; tenemos que hacer algunas preguntas al mayor aquí. Usted puede contestar lo que sea: lo importante es lo que contesta. Hay una preguntita aquí que queremos hacer. Mayor Adams: Andrew, former governor, is a good communicator with the two of us. We talk often. I don't see him running for mayor. I think he's looking at his next political move, and there's a lot of things he could look at. But I have to be ready to run New York, and that is what I'm focused on doing right now.

Mayor Adams: We're getting anywhere from 2,500 to 4,000 a week.

Va a ser… que estamos hablando de que la crisis humanitaria que tenemos aquí como ciudad, una de las inquietudes y de los problemas, y también, de las quejas diarias de los ciudadanos neoyorquinos es actualmente el recorte que se le está haciendo, se le piensa hacer a las instituciones como el NYPD, a los bomberos, a la misma educación, y me gustaría saber en mano de nuestro alcalde: ¿qué él opina de este recorte? Porque sabemos que, al final del día esto nos va a perjudicar hasta para la seguridad. ¿Cómo esto va a afectar a la ciudad?

Dávila-Richards: So, one of the top key problems and complaints that New Yorkers have are the cuts now than we recently announced. So, in light of the cuts to the police, education, what do you suggest, what do you think New Yorkers should know about in regard to these cuts?

Mayor Adams: First, I'm angry just like New Yorkers.

Dávila-Richards: Él también tiene mucho coraje al igual que a los neoyorquinos aquí.

Mayor Adams: The budget that I passed invested in police, clean streets, our older adults and building up our city.

Mayor Adams: And since the federal government did not pick up the cost of the asylum seekers, now it comes on the backs of New York City taxpayers.

Mayor Adams: So, I don't want to defund our agencies, but the federal government should not defund New York.

Dávila-Richards: So, New Yorkers are unhappy with the fact that you keep receiving the migrants that are coming here.

Dávila-Richards: And there's a survey that says that they're unhappy with you because you keep allowing the migrants to continue to come in.

Mayor Adams: And one of the misunderstandings around this issue is just that.

Mayor Adams: People believe that I have the power to stop people from coming in the city.

Mayor Adams: We do not see any relief in sight.

Mayor Adams: And now it is impacting other cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston. They have joined me in saying the federal government must pay for this.

And she feels that's not fair to the police officers that that happened.

Mayor Adams: I agree 100 percent.
