Statement from U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand on City's Policies to Protect Victims of Domestic Violence

“No one who experiences the trauma of domestic violence should then have to suffer from financial hardship in the aftermath of that heinous crime. This important new program would protect the rights, financial stability, homes and safety of domestic violence survivors and their children. We all have a responsibility to protect domestic violence survivors and help them live their lives without fear, and I will continue to work with my colleagues at all levels of government to support programs like this.”
