Statement by Mayor de Blasio on Passage of Eleven Traffic Safety Bills

“From curbing speeding to holding dangerous drivers accountable, these bills are a major step forward for our Vision Zero initiative. They will protect families and make our neighborhoods safer. We are thankful for Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito and Transportation Chair Ydanis Rodriguez’s leadership moving this legislative package forward, and applaud the council for its partnership keeping New York City streets safe.”
