Mayor Bloomberg Signs Legislation Extending The Date Of Submission For The Executive Budget And Related Documents

“The next bill before me is Introductory Number 1032, sponsored at the request of the Administration by Council Members Recchia, Comrie and Koo.  Introductory Number 1032 extends the date for the submission of the Mayor’s proposed Executive Budget to the City Council from April 26, 2013 to May 2, 2013, and extends the date for adoption of the Fiscal Year 2014 budget from June 5, 2013 to June 12, 2013.

“Introductory Number 1032 also makes corresponding adjustments for other Charter mandated actions required during the budget process, such as the dates for Borough President budget responses, Independent Budget Office budget analysis, and the City Council Executive Budget hearings.  This action is necessary to allow sufficient time to refine the budget proposal prior to submission to the City Council.”
