Public Space Activations

Each year NYCDOT invites non-profit organizations from around NYC to propose activities that they would bring to public space events. Approved organizations may be called upon and funded to provide their activations at NYCDOT public spaces and events such as Weekend Walks, Seasonal Streets, and Pedestrian Plazas, hosted throughout the City.

Activations may include: performance, dance, bike education, fitness demonstrations and classes, healthy eating, healthy lifestyle, craft making, literacy promotion, educational experiences, and more! All proposed activations must be suitable for outdoor spaces/events, free of charge to the public, and accessible to all New Yorkers.

Check back in fall 2020 for the next application cycle.
