Applications will be judged on the clarity, creativity, and methodology of approach, replicability, and accuracy of projections. Accuracy will be evaluated using the Euclidean distance between their projections and the actual numbers of residents by census tract, grade, and year between 2011-12 and 2016-17. The distance formula will weigh kindergarten projections most heavily given the importance of this grade in planning school size.
