September 2026
Dear MOME Community,

As summer fades and (American) football season approaches, it’s time to huddle into your favorite venues and movie theatres across the five boroughs for some indoor entertainment!

During Gotham Week 2026, MOME will present the first-ever “Made in NY” Filmmaker Listening Tour at the Dumbo Loft, a FREE, informal discussion where NYC independent filmmakers and producers are encouraged to share direct feedback regarding production incentives, permitting, and City resources: October 1, 2:30-4:00pm.

September will also see the Rockaway Film Festival, New York Film Festival, New York Latino Film Festival and the Climate Film Festival, with events and premieres for New Yorkers to see from both mainstream and independent filmmakers alike. Our office will continue to increase access to these festivals so all New Yorkers to participate. More info below… now go enjoy the show!

All the best,
Rafael Espinal
