Dear MOME Community,
July is HERE and the countdown is on to the FIFA World Cup final on the 19th at MetLife Stadium! But futbol aside, this summer you can also catch a “Movie Under the Stars” at a local park, or binge some Emmy-nominated programs filmed right here in NYC.
Since becoming Commissioner my focus has been simple: make New York the best place in the world to produce film and television by working alongside studios, unions, city agencies, and the communities that make this industry possible. I recently discussed how production is building momentum with Chris O’Falt and IndieWire, which I encourage you to read here, but our work is just beginning. More production is an important first step. The real measure of success is when the workers who power this industry feel the impact.
All the best,
Rafael Espinal |
