FEBRUARY 4 WORKSHOP: DISCRETIONARY FUNDING FOR ANIMAL WELFARE NONPROFITS

Calling all nonprofits working to improve animal welfare in NYC!

Each year, nonprofit organizations supporting people—and animals— across the five boroughs can apply for discretionary funding, a monetary award given by the New York City Council to meet local needs and fill gaps in City Agency services. Submissions for the coming fiscal year are due Wednesday, February 19th, 2025.

Please join the Mayor’s Office of Animal Welfare, Council Member Lynn Schulman, and the City Council’s Finance Division for an online presentation and Q&A about the application process on Tuesday, February 4th, 3 – 5 pm.

Please register in advance at https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_1Utw1nXFTxacjYieyiTNTQ.

Additional information about discretionary funding is posted on the websites of the Mayor’s Office of Contract Services and the New York City Council.

This year's Service Impact Award nominations are OPEN! Nominate an organization, public-private sector collaboration, youth, AmeriCorps alum, or individual volunteer for one of our five service impact awards. All winners will receive a cash prize and will be recognized at the awards ceremony in April.

You can also request Mayoral Service Recognition Certificates to recognize organizations, businesses, and volunteers who have gone above and beyond in the 2024 calendar year.
