Career Development

Made in NY Animation Project

The Made in NY Animation Project offers NYC youth the opportunity to engage in storytelling, gain technical skills in 3D computer animation, and qualify for paid internships in the field. This program is in partnership with NYC Neighborhood Opportunity Network (NeON) Community Centers, and The Animation Project (TAP).

Podcast Certification Program

Participants in this free eight-week program learned the most popular technologies used to create podcasts, as well as the fundamental techniques of long-form, narrative audio storytelling. Participants also learned about marketing, audience engagement, and the podcast industry landscape as a whole.

Made in NY Career Panels

The "Made in NY" Talks Series presents a variety of free programs exploring multiple topics within the media and entertainment industry. Programs focus on film, television, theater and digital media and support the goals of career development, networking, training and recruitment.

2021 NYC Digital Games Industry Economic Impact Study

The groundbreaking study details specifics on the digital games sector's significance and contribution to New York City's economy. Major findings of the report conclude that in 2020 the industry supported 7,600 jobs, $762 million in wages, and $2 billion in economic output.

Podcasting Industry Report

In the first comprehensive study of the podcast industry, MOME found that NYC has become the global hub for production of audio news and entertainment on demand. The top NYC-based networks produced almost 200 podcasts – up nearly 75 percent fron 2015 – and drove over 1.3 billion downloads in 2016.
