Program Description

The Workforce Development Program was a partnership between the Mayor's Office of Housing Recovery Operations (HRO) and the Department of Small Business Services (SBS) to provide workforce training to Sandy-impacted residents. Opportunities available to Sandy-impacted New Yorkers included:

• Job matching and recruitment events;
• Job-training vouchers for union pre-apprenticeship programs; and 
• Career counseling, resume editing, and practice interviews.
