Queens Community Board 2 (QCB2) serves as a local representative body of city government for Long Island City, Sunnyside, Woodside, and Northwest Maspeth. Its 50 members are volunteers who live or work in the district and are appointed by the Queens Borough President. QCB2 plays an important advisory role in land use and zoning matters, the municipal budget and service delivery, and many other issues that concern the community's quality of life. QCB2 is one of 59 community boards throughout the City of New York.
