Swiss Salad Ingredients - 1 small head iceberg lettuce
- 1 head romaine lettuce
- ¼ pound fresh spinach
- 1 large cucumber
- 1 green pepper
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes
- ½ cup lo-cal French dressing
Directions - Rinse and wash greens
- Drain thoroughly
- Break into large pieces; places in plastic bag or tightly covered container
- Store in refrigerator 4 to 6 hours or overnight to crisp
- Score cucumber with tips of fork
- Cut into 1/8-inch (3-mm) slices
- Cut green pepper into thin rings
- Cut cherry tomatoes in half
- Just before serving, carefully pat greens dry on towel
- Place greens in large wooden bowl; cover with French dressing
- Toss greens lightly, coating all leaves with dressing
- Top with cucumber, green pepper, and cherry tomatoes
- Serve immediately
