Mustard Halibut Steak


  • 3-ounce halibut steak
  • 1 teaspoon margarine
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Dash each: lemon rind, sugar replacement
  • Salt to taste


  1. Wash and dry halibut thoroughly
  2. Melt margarine, brush on both sides of halibut, lay on broiler pan
  3. Brush with mixture of lemon juice, Dijon mustard and seasonings
  4. Broil 5 to 6 inches (12 to 15 cm) from heat for 3 to 4 minutes
  5. Turn halibut
  6. Repeat on second side
