Certified Energy Auditor (CEA)
The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) offers classroom and online training for the CEA certification. All candidates are required to complete live or web-based trainings before taking the CEA examination.

New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) FlexTech Consultants must show experience and a thorough understanding of working with and providing energy efficiency services to commercial and industrial customers within New York State. The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) is now offering CBCF certification for eligible firms. Read more about eligibility requirements at the CBCF website.

To earn the Building Commissioning Association's (BCA) CCP designation, participants must complete an application that is reviewed by the Building Commissioning Certification Board and pass a comprehensive 2-hour examination. For additional information, visit the BCA website.
Note that there are NYSERDA discounts for the CCP training for those who live or work in the New York State Service Benefits Charge (NYS SBC) service territory or who demonstrate active participation in a NYSERDA or utility program funded by the NYS SBC or Energy Efficiency Porfolio Standard (EEPS).
