Chief of Department Kilduff Honored by World Boxing Cares

Chief of Department Edward Kilduff was honored for inspiring youth at the World Boxing Cares Celebration of Heroes event in New York City on May 15, which celebrated anti-bullying efforts.
"I'm accepting this for all the FDNY firefighters and EMS members who help the community day in and day out," Chief Kilduff said. "I want kids to know that if they are bullied, they have a friend in any New York City firehouse or EMS station."
He also spoke of his involvement with the World Police and Fire Games and the importance of sports to build teamwork and community.
Eight others were honored during the event, including Tamara Tunie, actress and philanthropist; Bruce Silverglade, Owner of Gleason's Gym and Creator of Give a Kid a Dream Foundation; and Imamau Mayfield, Former Cruiserweight World Champion.
