FDNY members gathered at Queens Borough Hall on Oct. 27, to thank the Borough President's Office for generously helping fund a new Mobile Training Vehicle.
"This is a wonderful gift," Chief of Department Edward Kilduff said. "Day in and day out it will help train firefighters and help keep them and the people of Queens safe."
Queens Borough President Helen Marshal used $273,000 from her capital budget to fund the project.
"The people of Queens love our firefighters and admire what they do 24 hours a day, seven days a week," she said.

The self-contained, custom-built apparatus allows members to train on a number of different skills, such as forcible entry, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and personal safety system (PSS).
