Call for Art 2026

What: Submit your artwork to be printed on construction fencing near E. 10th Street and FDR Drive!

Who: Residents and artists of all ages near E. 10th Street and East River Park!

How: Submit your artwork with the form linked below to drop boxes at NYCHA Riis Houses Management Office (454 E. 10th Street) or Tompkins Square Library (331 E. 10th Street). You can also email ESCRCCL1@ddccr.com to arrange pick-up or if you’d like to submit digitally (please see Submission Rules below).  

When: Submissions due by Friday, October 16, 2026. Selected artwork will be displayed along construction fencing in late-2026 / early-2027.

Suggested themes:

• What stories, cultures, and identities make NYC’s waterfront unique?
• What does climate resiliency mean to you?

Submission Rules:

• Artwork must be the original work of the submitter and cannot contain copyrighted images, nor business names.
• Artwork must be designed to be installed on a flat surface.
• Artwork should be submitted in landscape (wide) format.
• For Online Submissions: email ESCRCCL1@ddccr.com. If selected, final digital images will be required to be at least 150 dpi at full size. The size limit for upload in our online portal is 10 MB. If you are unable to upload a hi-resolution .jpg or .png image under 10 MB, save and upload a lower resolution image with the application and add a note in the submission form. The ESCR team will coordinate the digital delivery of the final hi-resolution image with selected artists. Artwork files should be saved as ‘First Name_Last Name_Title of Art’
• For Physical Submissions: Recommended size for submission is 11” x 17”. Submissions wider than 30” cannot be accepted. If selected, physical submissions will be scanned and enlarged to the dimensions above.
• Artwork is limited to one entry per person.
• The artist’s name should not be included on the front of the artwork.
