    Big news! 🎉The Mayor has announced the partnership between NYC Office of Talent and Workforce Development (NYC Talent), the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), and NYC Public Schools to give the next generation of public servants the experience and skills required for a career in city government. The “Youth Apprentice” program is the first-of-its-kind pathway to help young New Yorkers to obtain good paying careers in city agencies.

    Four artists: Lauren Camara, Dennis RedMoon Darkeem, Bayeté Ross Smith, and Zazu Swistel, now have their work featured on the sidewalk sheds surrounding the historic Surrogate’s Courthouse as part of NYC Cultural Affairs’ City Canvas program. Together, DCAS and DCLA are turning necessary construction into an opportunity to celebrate art, safety, and community right here in Lower Manhattan.

    NYC Mayor Adams and DCAS Commissioner Molina today announced the launch of the city's first ever Municipal Child Care Pilot Program, which will provide on-site and affordable child care to DCAS employees with children as young as six weeks old beginning in September 2026. The site for the child care pilot will be located in DCAS' headquarters on the ground floor of the David N. Dinkins Manhattan Municipal Building in Lower Manhattan.
