What You Need to Know

    The New York City Government Poverty Report is an annual release that includes the NYCgov poverty measure for New York City. This measure accounts for the cost of living in NYC and the effect of antipoverty programs such as the Earned Income and Child Tax Credits. The citywide poverty and near poverty rates for 2019 represent the lowest rates since the data series began with 2005 data.

    EquityNYC is a new website that provides a broad picture of the state of racial and social equity in New York City. EquityNYC presents data on an array of equity-related outcomes, as well as the City services that shape them.
