Welcome to the OATH Hearings Division

OATH is the City's central independent administrative law court; it is not part of the state court system. The OATH Hearings Division is the division of OATH that is responsible for holding hearings on summonses issued by a variety of agencies. Below is a video that explains who is responsible for a summons and the different ways someone can respond to a summons that is filed at OATH.

OATH holds hearings on summonses that are issued by the following enforcement agencies. If you have questions or concerns about why you were issued a summons by one of these agencies you can contact the agency that issued you the summons or ask for help from OATH’s Help Center.
