NYC Parks strives to help all New Yorkers discover how New York City's about 29,000 acres of parks can enrich their lives, promoting physical and emotional well-being, and providing venues for fitness and peaceful respite for the widest possible audience.
For an annual fee of only $25 for people with disabilities, NYC parks offers accessible facilities, adaptive hubs, adaptive events and programs and events in accessible locations.
The Individual Access Pass permits a resident of New York State with a disability, as defined in the attached application, free or discounted use of parks, historic sites, and recreational facilities operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

Achilles International breaks down barriers to race start lines and empowers the disability community to cross the finish line. Since 1983, Achilles has transformed the lives of people of all ages with disabilities through athletic programs and social connection with 66 chapters around the world. Achilles pairs up athletes with disabilities with volunteer guides for a run, walk or adaptive cycling ride in parks across New York City, including Central Park on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM and Saturdays at 9:30 AM.

In Tandem provides cycling opportunities for people with visual disabilities. The blind/low-vision rider is in the back and a captain riding in front while both riders pedal. They meet at Central Park on Saturday mornings.

AdaptAbility is a program created to customize adaptive bicycles for children with disabilities, allowing them to exercise and to improve mobility, while giving opportunity to experience the pleasure of riding a bicycle. Each bicycle is tailored to the child's challenges and goals. AdaptAbility bicycles are donated to families free of charge, allowing them to increase their quality of life.

Adaptive Climbing Group is a community for people with disabilities to have opportunities to inclusively participate in the sport of climbing. Adaptive Climbing is taking the already existing abilities of a person and helping them participate in the sport.
There are sessions on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nights EVERY week. Tuesday nights are in Queens, Thursday nights are in Manhattan and Sunday Nights are in Brooklyn. Sessions take place 365 days a year at Brooklyn Boulders climbing facilities Except Major U.S. Holidays when facilities are closed. Cost for participants are $11 for each session.

Rising New York Road Runners, the flagship youth fitness program from NYRR - the organizers of the TCS New York City Marathon, offers a number of free resources for children of all ages and abilities, including the Wheelchair Training Program. The free, year-round program offers weekly training sessions, in-school resources, and competitive events on the road and track for kids who utilize wheelchairs to run, ages 6 to 21.

Row New York's adaptive rowing program provides land-based and on-water workouts for adaptive athletes of all abilities. The program offers all levels of involvement: adaptive athletes can row for recreation, rehabilitation, and competition. Athletes begin the program learning the basics of rowing on ergometers, then move to on-water rowing on stable barges, and for competitive athletes, to rowing shells fitted with pontoons. Our adaptive programming takes place with our experienced coaches on the calm and safe waters of Meadow Lake in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens.
