As an IMD tenant living in a unit is under the Loft Board's jurisdiction, the Owner of your building must provide the following to residential occupants:

  • water supply and drainage
  • heat
  • hot water
  • electricity
  • gas
  • smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
  • lighting in public hallways, stairs, fire stairs and fire towers
  • entrance door security
  • elevator service
  • window guards
  • any service previously provided on the effective date of the Loft Law under which the unit is covered.
