Certificate of Occupancy

After complying with the fire and safety provisions of Article 7-B of the Multiple Dwelling Law, an owner is required to take all reasonable and necessary steps to obtain a certificate of occupancy which reflects the residential occupancy of the IMD units. This may involve completing additional work in the building, as well as, resolving open job applications New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) (sign-off) and clearing violations.
