Access

To obtain access to an IMD unit, an Owner is required to serve the tenant with two notices. These notices must include the timing and scope of the work to be performed. An Owner must also give appropriate notice telling tenants to allow inspections and surveys of IMD units for the purpose of legalization.

If a tenant fails to provide access, an Owner may apply to the Loft Board for an order directing the tenant to give the Owner reasonable access to the unit. These applications are processed on an expedited basis.
