High-Piled Storage Permit

Permit Description

  • A permit is required to use an area exceeding 500 square feet in a building or structure or part thereof as a high-piled storage area.

Cost of Permit

  • $210.00

Permit Length

  • A FDNY inspector will visit the premise annually and perform an inspection prior to permit expiration

Application Requirements

  • Design and installation documents high-piled combustible storage are to be submitted to Fire Prevention Technology Management Unit for review.

  • Once the design and installation documents have been approved, you must schedule an inspection of the premises.

  • Certificate of Fitness:
    C-91 Supervision of Storage, Handling and Use of Hazardous Materials
