Sexual Health Clinics

Service Updates

The Crown Heights Sexual Health Clinic offers STI and HIV testing on a walk-in basis every Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. These services are provided by NewYork-Presbyterian's Sexual Health Mobile Medical Unit at no-cost (no insurance needed). See locations for other clinics offering walk-in services.

The Corona Sexual Health Clinic offers express STI testing every Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The clinic provides HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis testing for people with no symptoms of an STI. This testing is walk-in only.

Services are provided on a walk-in basis. Wait times may vary depending on clinic capacity and services being provided. Patients are encouraged to arrive as early as possible. The clinics open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 3:30 p.m.

Mpox

All NYC Sexual Health Clinics offer mpox vaccination as a standalone service, on a walk-in basis, regardless of insurance or immigration status, for both first and second doses. For other locations in NYC offering the mpox vaccine, visit NYC Vaccine Finder.

People at risk for mpox should get vaccinated now if they have not done so already. It is important to get two doses for maximum protection. There is no recommendation for a booster dose (a third dose) at this time.

PrEP Consultation Appointments

NYC Sexual Health Clinics offer appointments to consult with a trained advisor on the use of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). PrEP is a safe and effective medicine that prevents HIV. See Clinic Services Provided for more information or schedule an appointment online.

Doxy PEP

Doxy PEP is now available at the Central Harlem, Corona, Morrisania and Fort Greene clinics. To learn more about doxy PEP, see Clinic Services Provided or read About Doxy PEP (PDF).

Medication Abortion

Medication abortion (abortion pills) for people in early pregnancy is now available at the Jamaica, Morrisania and Central Harlem Sexual Health Clinics. Call the telemedicine hotline at (347-396-7959) for medical evaluation, counseling and clinic appointments. Walk-ins are also accepted until 2 p.m.

The NYC Sexual Health Clinics provide low- to no-cost services for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV. Anyone who is 12 or older can receive services at any clinic, regardless of immigration status. Parental consent is not necessary.

Test results may take up to seven to ten days. Most clinic services are walk-in only (no appointments). Appointments can be made for select services. See Clinic Services Provided for more detail.

Chelsea and Fort Greene Express Clinics offer appointments for Express testing services. These sites offer testing for HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis for people who have no symptoms of a sexually transmitted infection. HIV test results are provided onsite and chlamydia and gonorrhea test results are usually available within hours.

If you do not have health insurance or cannot pay the sliding scale fee, you can still get services.
