February 26, 2016
On February 26th, the New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC) Steam Initiatives participated in an evening seminar at the New York Hall of Science in Queens. The STEM Night workshop hosted approximately 200 college and high school students along with their parents and school teachers. Students received information on DDC’S high school and college internship programs and speak to STEAM team members. Parents and students watched our STEAM internship video and have their questions answered directly by STEAM team members. Students attended an information panel followed by a Networking session.
New York Hall of Science STEM Nights are free events designed for high school and college students who are curious about careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The STEM Night series is a program of NYSCI’s Alan J. Friedman Center for the Development of Young Scientists.
NYSCI STEM Nights are made possible with support from the New York Life Foundation, The Neuberger Berman Foundation and Con Edison.
