From the launch of the card in January through the end of 2015, all New Yorkers with a municipal ID card are eligible to receive free memberships at cultural organizations belonging to the Cultural Institutions Group.

NYC Department of Probation’s NeON Arts Program Now Accepting Applications

A partnership between DOP and Carnegie Hall, NeON Arts offers young people - including those on probation - in communities served by DOP’s Neighborhood Opportunity Networks (NeONs) an opportunity to engage in a variety of disciplines including dance, music, theater, visual arts, poetry, and digital media. NeON Arts welcomes applications from all arts organizations, including fiscally sponsored projects and independent artists.

NYC Department of Transportation Announces Call for Artists

DOT’s Community Commissions Open Call is seeking artists interested in displaying artwork on barriers, bridges, sidewalks, and plazas around the city. Applications require artists to partner with community-based nonprofit organizations and are due Friday, November 28, 2014.

Call for Artists for SPARC: Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide

The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and Department for the Aging announce the Call for Artists for SPARC: Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide, a community arts engagement program that will place 50 artists-in-residence at senior centers across the five boroughs starting January 2015. Through SPARC, resident artists will develop projects with seniors in exchange for a stipend and access to workspace. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, September 30 at 5 PM.

CAL is a yearlong capacity-building initiative designed to help arts leaders effectively run their small, community-based cultural organizations serving low- to moderate-income populations. 2014 Artist Placements Announced for SPARC: Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide
