    Today, DCAS released its latest report, Clean Fleet Update, on municipal fleet carbon emission reduction progress, highlighting that the city is on track to meet its ‘50% reduction by 2025’ mandate, surpassing prior estimates. The announcement was made at the 35th Annual DCAS and NYC Parks Fleet and Equipment Show at Flushing Meadow Corona Park.

    DCAS and the New York Power Authority (NYPA) announced the completed installation of more than 37,000 state-of-the-art LED lights in 67 NYPD facilities across the five boroughs, yielding $750,000 in annual savings and a reduction in carbon emissions by more than 1,800 metric tons - the equivalent of taking 400 cars off the road.

Public Hearing Regarding the Proposed Rules for Surplus Computer Equipment Donations

DCAS is proposing to add a new chapter 16 to Title 55 of the Rules of the City of New York, requiring DCAS to donate surplus city-owned computers to eligible organizations for beneficial use. DCAS will hold a public hearing on the proposed rules.
