Summer Internship Program (SIP)

The City of New York Summer Internship Program provides over 100 accessible summer intern job postings at City agencies to college students currently enrolled, graduating, and recent graduates.

In addition to gaining experience working for the City of New York, SIP interns are also offered opportunities for professional development, training, as well as guidance on civil service employment.

Eligibility and How to Apply

NYC Summer Internship Program Intern positions are submitted by City agencies and available for viewing usually in March through the end of June 2024. Summer internship start dates are between May and September every year.

• Please refer to the Eligibility and Application Process to see if you are eligible.
• City agencies will continue to post new job opportunities through July of each year.
• Summer interns/internships are for a maximum of 13 weeks, usually from April/May but must end by the first week of September each year.
